Arsenal defender Sampson out for 4 months

After beating Millwall Lionesses 7-0 in the FA Women’s Cup on Sunday, Arsenal Ladies will have to start their league campaign without defender Vyan Sampson who injured her knee during training.

The 18 year-old has is thought to be sidelined for around four months due to the injury sustained needing surgery.

The former Charlton Athletic youngster has represented England at Under-17 and Under-19 level.

Pedro Martinez Losa’s side travel to Notts County on Thursday the 2nd of April for their opening fixture of the new WSL 1 season.
