Everton Ladies look to continue their unbeaten run in the WSL2 this Sunday when they play host to a London Bees side yet to register their first win of the new campaign.
The Bees lost heavily to Reading FC Women last week, with the Royals scoring seven without reply.
But the Bees could hand full league debuts to their two newest additions against Everton, 26 year-old Gemma Fraser and defender Charlotte Benson, who both joined the club from Fulham Foundation Ladies.
Everton, who won their opening fixture 2-1 against Aston Villa before drawing with Millwall Lionesses last weekend, will be hoping for all three points in their first home match of the season, as they look to keep up with high-flying Reading at the top of WSL 2.
Everton defender Lindsay Johnson spoke to the WSL website ahead of the game and admitted her side is expecting a hard game against the Londoners.
“I’m sure London Bees will be a tough proposition as they are getting progressively better,” said Johnson.
“They learnt how to shut up shop towards the end of last year and started to concede less and less – every week they will get stronger and learn from their experiences.”
The Toffees will have to continue their promotion push on Sunday without defenders Gabby George and Ellie Stewart, midfielder Millie Turner and forward Claudia Walker, who have all been called up to England’s Under 19s squad who travel to Belfast this weekend for their European Championship qualifiers.
