Millwall Lionesses and Durham Women meet on Sunday afternoon at The Den with both sides currently sitting mid-table in the WSL 2 on 6 points from a possible 12.
Just three weeks ago the Lionesses travelled to the North East and played out a thrilling fixture in which the Londoners edged it 3-2 after a late brace from super substitute Lily Agg.
Durham bounced back from their defeat to Millwall with a 4-0 win over London Bees last time out in a game that saw Amelia Pereira score her fourth goal in as many games, and Jess Havelock net on her debut.
Speaking after the game goalscorer Pereira said, “A 4-0 away from home is a very good result and we are already looking forward to next week to say that the game against Millwall two weeks ago was not our team.
“We were good enough to turn it around and we have the confidence to move forward and win again next week.”
Millwall were unable to capitalise on the momentum they gained from their victory at Durham and were held to a goalless draw by bottom of the table Watford last weekend.
With high flyers Doncaster Rovers Belles still unbeaten and distancing themselves from the chasing pack at the top of WSL 2, both Millwall and Durham will need a win to keep them in the promotion race.
