Liverpool Ladies defender Becky Easton could be out for the rest of the FA WSL season after fracturing her arm following a coming together with Manchester City’s Toni Duggan in their Continental Cup fixture on Sunday.
The 41-year-old tweeted a photo of her arm in a plaster cast confirming she had suffered a break following her side’s 2-0 defeat.

Easton joins teammates Fara Williams, Asisat Oshoala and Corina Schroder on the treatment table in what manager Matt Beard describes as “a frustrating season”.
“We get one player back and then we lose a player. We’re going to be another player down for a few months now,” Beard told BBC Sport.
Despite the defeat the Reds are through to the Continental Cup quarter finals. They also start their Champions League campaign in October and have four league fixtures still to play in what is a busy time for the current FA WSL1 champions.
